The Community Learning Center is close to home, close to friends and neighbors as fellow classmates. Yet you’ll be learning from schools like Indiana University, Purdue, Indiana State, Ball State, University of Southern Indiana, Vincennes, Ivy Tech, Indiana Wesleyan, St. Marys of the Woods, and Taylor University.
Learn at your own pace, whether it’s day or evening classes, they are delivered face-to-face, Internet, 2-way video TV, or correspondence. Work toward a certificate or degree, or enhance your skills through customized training.
The mission of the Orange County Community Learning Center is about YOU. It is dedicated in providing programs and services- emphasizing one-on-one assistance. Dean Johnson, coordinator, is more than happy to assist with registration, assessment testing, and career information. Simply give him a call, and schedule time to discuss your future possibilities. Want to know what you'd be good at job wise? Want to know what your interests are, or what makes you click? The Community Learning Center of Orange County is now providing a full personal career assessment which will target your key areas of interest, and your critical aptitudes. Based on this information, a series of easy-to-understand reports are generated to assist each individual in planning for their education and career setting. Call Dean to set up an appointment to go through the CareerScope assessment. Cost is $7.00.
Senior Scholar’s Program…
Free Tuition for Eligible Indiana Residents Age 60 & Older taking Vincennes University classes.
If you are a retired Hoosier age 60 or older, you may qualify for free tuition through the Senior Scholars program.
To qualify, you must be:
· An Indiana resident
· At least 60 years of age
· A high school graduate or GED recipient
· Retired from your primary vocation
· Not employed full time
Rooms Available
At a very competitive cost, the Community Learning Center of Orange County offers a select variety of training rooms for business and community organizational purposes. If you need to do a presentation, the Learning Center can provide state of the art multimedia presentational equipment to assist you. Do you need to connect with two-way video teleconferencing? Placement Testing for Ivy Tech and Vincennes University
Some courses such as English, Sociology, or Mathematics require that you complete an academic skills assessment prior to registering for the course. If you don't have a current SAT or ACT score, you will need to take an approved placement test in reading, writing, and mathematics. Your advisor will use your scores to help ensure that you are successful in the classroom.
There is no charge for the placement test and it can be taken at your convenience. All you have to do is call the Community Learning Center for an appointment. Your test will be scored immediately so you can register for classes the same day. Please allow two hours to complete your placement test.
High School Seniors!
“Take One On Us”
Ivy Tech Sellersburg offers high school seniors a one time opportunity to take a tuition FREE class on them. Take a class that could help you land that first job or get a head start on college. Credits are transferable to most Indiana colleges. Enroll today, for classes in the Fall of 2007, or Spring of 2008. Graduate High School with college credit TUITION FREE.

Computer Seminar-this class has been developed for those people with no computer experience. The 2-hour class will cover basic terminology,basic keyboard layout, start up and shut down, software and hardware, and the computer components. The class is free to all ages. Call today to register. Learning to Type with Mavis Beacon-this is a computer tutorial program that allows a student the opportunity to learn at his or her own rate. This method also allows the student to flexibility of taking the program at their convience. Call today and learn to type. 25 hours for $25.
